I finally did it! I pulled the plug in March '10 and moved to Panama. ?I live in Panama City and so far so good. The goal was to have a base where the cost of living was reasonable so that I could travel and enjoy a better quality of life.?I've done my first post retirement travel, with a 2 week trip to So. Italy. Still more travel and adventures ahead. This may not be my last stop, so come join me!

I spent 3 weeks on the island of Bocos Del Toro in Panama considering it as a possible retirement location. While I did have a fantastic time, I decided the island itself didn't have enough to offer long term for me. I also got a chance to spend a couple of days in Panama City which I enjoyed as well.
